Composite Regional Centre for Skill Development, Rehabilitation & Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (CRC), Rajnandgaon, Chattisgarh is in India functioning since June 2016 earlier it was under administrative control of Swami Vivekanand National Institute for Rehabilitation ,Training and Research (SV NIRTAR) Olatpur Cuttack and since 2 May 2019 under the administrative control of National Institute for the Empowerment of Persons with Intellectual Disabilities (NIEPID), Secunderabad, DEPwD, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India.
CRC, Rajnandgaon strives to focus on areas of sustainable rehabilitation for better Quality of Life in performance for substantial wellbeing and empowerment for the Person with Disabilities. We facilitate Divyangjans to realize their optimum potential and participate equally in all aspects of life. The objective of CRC is to create resources and infrastructure required for developing services for persons with disabilities in Chhattisgarh. CRC functions as a resource centre for rehabilitation and empowerment of persons with disabilities by providing clinical, special education services, skill training services as well as undertaking human resource development and research activities. CRC conducts several training programs for parents/ caregivers of persons with disabilities, rehabilitation professionals and other functionaries rendering services to persons with disabilities. CRC is attempting to reach the unreached and support them in availing all the government benefits for better quality of life.
CRC services includes Early Identification & Intervention, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Psychological Intervention, Prosthetics & Orthotics, Speech Language & Hearing, Special Education, Skill Training, Vocational Training, Social Work, Placement, Outreach Services, Human Resource Development, Research & Development, Kiran Mental Health Helpline (MHRH) support, Regular Distribution of Physical Disability Assistive Devices including artificial limbs, Teaching & Learning Material (TLM) Kits to Persons with Intellectual Disabilities and BTE Hearing Aids for Persons with Hearing Impairment under ADIP Scheme.
