A. SERVICE DELIVERY (STATISTICAL REPRESENTATION) :

SERVICES OFFERED:

i. PHYSICAL MEDICINE AND REHABILITATION:

The PM&R Department has a dedicated team of Rehabilitation & Orthopedic, medical specialists who work together with other departments to provide services to patients with locomotor disabilities e.g. Poliomyelitis, Cerebral Palsy, Stroke, Amputation, Congenital limb deformities, Rheumatologic conditions, Neuromuscular Disorders, Musculoskeletal pain, etc. Services are provided through OPD, indoor & outreach camps.

ii. PROSTHETIC & ORTHOTIC:

The department of Prosthetics and Orthotics renders services to out patients. Patients are allotted to professionals who evaluate, assess and figure out the treatment modality and execute the prosthetic or orthotic rehabilitation. It includes  assessment, evaluation, planning, fabrication, trial and checking, patient training and follow up.

iii. SPEECH & AUDIOLOGY:

The major objectives of the Speech & Hearing Department are to impart professional training, render clinical services, conduct research and educate the public on issues related to communication & hearing disorders such as hearing impairment, mental retardation, voice, and fluency and phonological and language disorders.

iv. PHYSIOTHERAPY:

Physiotherapy Is concerned with promotion, maintenance and restoration of health and prevention of disabilities, in people of all ages. It play an important role is all the branches medical sciences , especially – orthopedics, pediatrics, neurology, cardiothoracic surgery, sports medicine etc. It provides rehabilitation set up for cerebral palsy, mental retardation, hemiplegic, PPRP, spinal cord injury and post fracture problems

v. OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY:

Occupational therapy uses the day to day activities of work, self-care, leisure and play to enhance development of skills and possibilities. It may include adapting the work or environment as per the present abilities of the client, to achieve maximum independence and to enhance the quality of life.

vi. VOCATIONAL TRAINING:

Vocational training plays a crucial role in the social and economic development of every country. Vocational training involves teaching people to acquire a particular skill meant to prepare them for a particular occupation.

Employment is an important ingredient for combating poverty and achieving inclusion for all persons, including persons with disabilities (PWD). Employment increases self-sufficiency, social connectedness and creates a sense of self worth and dignity for individuals.

vii. SPECIAL EDUCATION:

Educational assessment for identifying individualistic educational needs of the Children with special need (CWSN)

Develop language learning skills and ruling out associated problems.

Develop Activities of Daily Living Skills (ADL) and school placements.

Parent guidance.

viii. CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGY:

  • Psychological Assessment of all types of cases.
  • Providing rehabilitation and management plan
  • Cognitive stimulation of intellectually challenged
  • Behaviour Modification.
  • Guidance and Counseling.
